OBJECTIVES

  1. To introduce the advocacy of the GLOBE Program and its relevance to the STEM Community
  2. To encourage participants to be an active member of the GLOBE Community

LEARNING OUTCOMES

At the end of this training, a participant should be able to:

  1. Explain the advocacy of the GLOBE Program and its role in the STEM community in learning about the Earth System and its impact to human lives;
  2. Understand the concept of "Earth as a System" by being able to explain the interdependence of the Earth's Four (4) Spheres;
  3. Demonstrate the use of the basic teaching and learning functionalities of the GLOBE Website and Observer App, specifically:
    • Set-up Data Collection Site
    • Create Student Account
    • Create Teacher Profile
    • Share or Upload and Retrieve Data Using ADAT, Data Visualization, and other tools.
  4. Express willingness to be part of a Global campaign towards building disaster resilient communities through science education and research.
